cam…pus?

Hello world!

Long time no blog, thats ‘cos I’m lazy and ive been uber busy in the world of workings, holidays, social shiz and other such delights! July went too fast, I went to Zante for a week, passed year two of uni, broke the parents house via an uber flood of water into the dining room (more on these two later, hopefully) and working, at greggs, for 30+ hours a week.

Bad times!

I have found this interesting article on the UoS interwebblog which no one apart from my self reads! After I read the blog entry, a not so pleasant taste was left in my mouth. I’m sure all students whom attend (lol) the UoS will know how much Manor Quay was missed last year for someplace to go during uber breaks between lectures. Well fret no more, as it’s back, officially, with a somewhat terrible theme!

Read and possibly cry? or jump for joy… the option is yours.

elhunteros!

Pass and fucking Proceed :D

Yes yes yes yes yes yes, i am still shocked and happy and over the moon that I managed to pass year two of my BSc in Computing! Also managing to achieve a:

2:1

ROCK ON :D

This is down from last years First, but heyho, its still an awesome result, albeit by the skin of my teeth (60.16%) haha ;)

Yes sure, there were modules where I could have done better, and some peices of coursework which were embarresingly rushed on the last day, but a pass is a pass :)

To celebrate this fact (lies ;) ), im away to Zante on Thursday at daft o’clock in the morning for my week in the sun with the marras. I really cannot wait :) It shal be a right hoot, and will involve lots of drinking and laughing and having a general ball of a time!

Good times :)

Overall decision for this academic year…

Pass and proceed…

FUCKING COME ON :D

Year three (and placement year) here i come :D :D ::D:D:D:D::D:D

Harmonisation!

God, i love working for Greggs! I really actually do! Seriously! No lies!

well, some of the time i enjoy working for Greggs, but other times, like today for example, i do not! Greggs have an amazing ability to change how things are done in the shop units at the drop of the the hat, and today is no exception.

By my understanding, Greggs PLC is moving away from a divisional structure, whereby all divisions of greggs kinda do there own thing, and sell a smaller set of unified products and a wider variety of local, division produced products.

One of the main ways they are doing this is through a process of “harmonisation”. Harmonisation is where a select few products are to be created, packaged, merchandised and sold in a strict way, which each shop in the land must do it by.

Todays harmonisation training was on the Baguette sandwiches, you know the tasty cheese and ham, tuna mayo and the chicken and bacon, all of which now have a different (and somewhat better) order of makeup!

So I (and the others) have had to learn the new “correct and harmonised” way to create these sandwiches, and how to package them. This all takes extra time and faff, so i hope the company understands this :\

I wont go into great details about how these sandwiches are made, as bascially i cant be arsed and if you want to taste the delights of these sarnies, get your self down to greggs ;)

that is all?
…aye

testing from bedfordshire

yes, bedfordshire! I am currently writing this blog entry on my new mobile phone (nokia n95 8gig) using the built in wifi connectivity (more on the phone later;) ) from the semi comfort of my bed in my room haha. This is just like texting but texting to the interweb world! How very exciting!

Tomorrow is a 9 til 2pm shift down at the greggs, then i am taking my sister to see the bank manager, then to pick me mother up from work then tea then pick lisa (the lass [more on her later ;)] from work to bring her back to sunderland for her exam on wednesday!

What a busy afternoon tomorrow eh?

Anyway, i do believe i am getting tired so off to bedfordshire i go! Goodnight interwebs!

New Things #1

I havent blogged since January - which is a sin in its self - and alot of things have happened, occured and developed since then!

New Thing #1

I have finally finished* year two of university!!!!!. The second year is alot harder and generally more intense than year one, expecially after being told that the first year counted for nothing, and therefore very little effort was put in - but thats a different story. I have managed to get through four exams durign exam period without crying or drowing my sorrows in icecream and chocolates, and feel in a somewhat happy(!?) mood of how they went. I think i am still hoping for the 40% pass rate like ;)

*hopefully!!

The major(!) success of the second year was the group based computing project, you know the one where no-one really seemed to give two hoots about. Well, shockingly and suprisingly, our team “won” the contract to create the “virtual world” environment for the University of Amsterdam(!) and we all were awarded a nice University of Sunderland MS Publisher esque certificate! Even the overload of the School of Computing came down to shake our hands and tell us how “important” this module was and how “employers look for this kind of thing” and of course, how “great it looks on your CV”. One word, bullshite :D

anyway yes, University is finished for the summer, and all going to plan, i wont be going back in September, as i’m away for a years placement at Gentoo! But more on that at a later date!

and that is all!

…err hi?
